เมื่อวันที่ 5 มีนาคม 2567 รศ.ดร.พูลศักดิ์ เพียรสุสม รศ. ดร. วิทิต ปานสุข จากศูนย์เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทางนวัตกรรมวัสดุก่อสร้าง และ ผศ.ดร.ชยุตม์ งามโขนง หัวหน้าหน่วยปฏิบัติการวิจัยวิศวกรรมโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและนวัตกรรมระบบราง ร่วมกับบริษัท เคียวว่า เด็นเกียว (ไทยแลนด์) จำกัด เข้าหารือเพื่อสร้างความร่วมมือด้านงานวิจัยกับ China Academy of Railway Science (CARS) Corporation Limited ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีนและเข้าเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติด้านโครงสร้างสะพาน (Bridge Structure Laboratory) และห้องปฏิบัติการเทคโนโลยีทางรถไฟเพื่อรองรับรถไฟความเร็วสูง (State Key Laboratory for Track Technology of High-Speed Railway เพื่อความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือในอนาคต โดยในปัจจุบันภาควิชาวิศวกรรมโยธาอยู่ในช่วงดำเนินโครงการวิจัย The Project for Technology Development on Life Time Management of Road and Bridge for Strengthening Resilience in Thailand (LiMBridge) ภายใต้โครงการ Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development Program (SATREPS) ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก JICA ประเทศญี่ปุ่น รวมถึงโครงการวิจัยในแผนพัฒนาเครือข่ายความร่วมมือนานาชาติ และโครงการในแผนพัฒนาโครงข่ายระบบรางที่ทันสมัยเพื่อรองรับการขนส่งสินค้าของประเทศ จากหน่วยบริหารและจัดการทุนด้านการเพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ (บพข.)
On 5 March 2024, Assoc. Prof. Phoonsak Pheinsusom, Assoc. Prof. Withit Pansuk from Centre of Excellence in Innovative Construction Materials and Asst Prof Chayut Ngamkhanong, from Advanced Railway Infrastructure, Innovation and Systems Engineering (ARIISE) Research Unit, together with Kyowa Dengyo (Thailand), visited China Academy of Railway Science (CARS) Corporation Limited in Beijing. They toured the Bridge Structure Laboratory and the State Key Laboratory for Track Technology of High-Speed Railway to discuss research and corporation. Currently, the Department of Civil Engineering is making significant progress in several projects. These include “The Project for Technology Development on Life Time Management of Road and Bridge for Strengthening Resilience in Thailand (LiMBridge)” which is part of the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development Program (SATREPS) funded by JICA. In addition, the department is engaged in national projects that cover global partnership and the development of railway systems for future transportation, supported by the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness Enhancement (PMU-C).
